Background
We define this theme widely, not only including topics related to the interplay between political actors, the media and citizens – but also incorporating themes related to journalism, PR, crisis and organizational communication research. Beyond monthly research seminars, members of the Political Communication research group are also involved in different applications for external funding.
Research projects
In connection with the municipal elections in September 2023, 21 researchers have analyzed the election and election trends in the report Election Analysis 2023.
The researchers pose questions such as: Who won the digital election campaign? What was the significance of the salmon tax? What was surprising about the political TV debates? Which topics were overshadowed during this year's election campaign? Why are we seeing new party formations like the Industrial and Business Party?
The report capture the immediate thoughts, reflections, and early research insights about the Norwegian municipal election on September 11, 2023.
Scandinavian political communication during the pandemic
The goal in this project is to provide empirical insights into online leadership communication during crisis.
