What is AR@K?

AR@K – Artistic Research at Kristiania – is an annual symposium organized by Kristiania University College. The event brings together researchers, artists and academics from all over the world, giving them an opportunity to explore and share their artistic research. Since its inception in 2018, the symposium has grown from an internal seminar to a leading platform for dissemination of artistic research in Norway.

The purpose of AR@K is to advance art as a field of research, shed light on artistic processes and methods, strengthen the dialogue between artistic researchers, and build bridges between artistic and traditional research. The symposium aims to challenge and explore the boundaries between art and technology and energize the discourse about issues such as ethics, creativity and human identity in an increasingly technology-driven world.
