How to apply for an exchange?

Kristiania University College uses an online nomination and application system for incoming exchange students.

Once you have been nominated by your home institution you will receive an email with a link to the application portal and a separate email with your password. Log into the portal using your email-address and given password.

If you did not receive the email with the password you may order a new password on the login page.

Step 1: My profile

Enter your correct postal address in your home country. Please make sure to enter the complete address:

* Register your street address and number correctly in the first address line.

* Enter both postal code/zip code and name of city in the field «Postal Code – City». Please also enter state/province (if applicable).

* Choose country from the menu.

* Register mobile phone number.

* Please ignore the options under «Entrance requirement».

Click on «OK – save» to continue. You will then be directed to the application page.

Please note: If it is not the first time you log in, you must go to the «My profile» section from the top menu.

Step 2: My application

To complete the application, you must choose/confirm the faculty of your exchange.

Please note: If it is not the first time you log in you find the «My application» section in the top menu.

Please use the Extra Information box to inform us of your course choices.

Step 3: Upload documents

The first time you go through the application sequence, you come to the page called «Uploading documents» after choosing/confirming faculty.

You upload documents by clicking on the grey button on the middle of the page (called «+ Choose New document», under the headline «Submission deadline»).

You must indicate relevant name of institution and date (where and when the document you are uploading is from). Documents may also be uploaded as «Other» (without indicating name of institution and start date).

Please use PDF or JPG format. Do not upload ZIP, RAR or other compressed files as these cannot be opened in our document viewer. You may also include links to such external services as YouTube or DropBox.

You are required to upload the following documents:

* Curriculum Vitae (CV)

* Short motivation letter

* Transcript of records including previous and current courses

* Sample of work (where required)

Please note: If it is not the first time you log in, you must go to the «My documents» section in the top menu (the ‘step by step’ process is only active the first time you log in).

Applications should be completed online well before:

15 April for autumn semester (August – December)

15 October for spring semester (January - June)

Submit the application

Please note that there is no button called «submit», and that you may log in again to change the application before the deadline.

Your application will have the status «Under consideration» until we have finalized the processing of all the applications.

Admission letter

Admission letters will be sent to your email as soon as we have processed your application. The admission letter is electronically approved and valid without a signature. We do not mail physical admission letters. When you receive your admission letter you must log in to your profile and accept the offer within the given deadline.
