Here you can work on school assignments and immerse yourself in your own projects, alone or together with others. In the Designlab, you can develop yourself, get to know students across the lines and gain lots of practical experience - which is worth its weight in gold when you go out into working life.

The design lab in Oslo is located at Spikersuppa, and consists of a workshop over several floors that is filled with machines and tools that all Kristiania students can use.

The purpose of the Design Lab is to facilitate innovative thoughts and ideas. Here you can take your work further from the drawing board and put it into practice. Only your own imagination sets limits to what you can create in the Designlab!

The design lab in Oslo is located at Rosenkrantz gate 16, while the Designlab in Bergen is located at C. Sundts gate 33.

If you need assistance, workshop foreman Tobias (Oslo) and Helge (Bergen) are ready to lend a helping hand. We also offer courses with training in the various tools.

Courses and registration

Do you want training in the equipment at the design lab? Courses are set up continuously. In the design lab's calendar, you will find an overview of upcoming courses and events that you can attend. You can also sign up in the calendar.

To be able to use the protolab, you must complete a safety course with a review of HSE rules for the room, as well as training in the use of the various machines and tools. After completing the course, you will gain access to the protolab via your key card.
