English Terminology at Kristiania

The name Kristiania

Kristiania University of Applied Sciences is the English name of Høyskolen Kristiania. 

Kristiania Professional College is the English name of Fagskolen Kristiania. 

The legal names in Norwegian are Høyskolen Kristiania – Ernst G. Mortensen Foundation and Fagskolen Kristiania AS. In day-to-day communication, we use the names Kristiania University of Applied Sciences and Kristiania Professional College. 

Shared identity, distinct brands

Although the university and the professional college are separate entities, they share a visual identity and logo. Different use of colours, communication styles and imagery gives each institution its own distinct expression within the shared identity.

At the same time, it is important that we use the names Kristiania University of Applied Sciences and Kristiania Professional College whenever possible, both in writing and speech, when referring to the two institutions. It must be clear to the audience who the sender is, even though both organisations are part of the Kristiania Foundation.
