Learning platform and teaching in practice
Once students are enrolled on one or more online courses, students will have access to the relevant online courses in the learning platform. Each online course contains instructional texts, video lectures, practice assignments and compulsory submission assignments. The online course will include information on how the different modules relate to one another and the sequence in which they should be completed. All academic content in the online course refers to the syllabus, provides additional comments to the syllabus, and if applicable, supplementary comments and problematisation of the syllabus literature. Each course contains a series of practice assignments/self-assessments that will help students evaluate their progression and contribute to the learning objectives being met.

Each course is divided into modules consisting of video lectures, instructional texts and other teaching resources. Lectures vary in number and length depending on the topic.
One or more modules conclude with coursework requirements that must be approved before students can take the examination. This could include written assignments, multiple choice tests, reflective writing, video documentation, as well as experiments, exercises or other activities with subsequent reports. The academic supervisor will provide feedback on the academic content and structure of the assignment. In addition to these work methods, students are expected, through independent study, to conduct both preparations for and follow–up on lectures.

The learning platform provides access to the digital tools needed in order to communicate with supervisors and fellow students, plan your own course progression, find relevant collaborators and easily connect with administrative support staff who work specifically with online studies.

The University College encourages students to find someone they can collaborate with, but online students choose themselves whether they want to study alone or with others. Collaboration provides the opportunity to discuss academic issues and to give and receive feedback on coursework requirements and examination assignments, which in turn strengthens both academic understanding and dissemination skills.

Examination and assessment methods
A number of different examination and assessment methods are used throughout the programme. The assessment methods are adapted to the learning outcomes of the individual course; at the same time we strive for an appropriate distribution of contrasting examination methods in each semester of the course.

All courses contain compulsory coursework requirements. Entrance to the examination is conditional upon meeting certain coursework requirements. The scope of and plan for coursework requirements are specified in the course descriptions. (The assessment expression for coursework requirements is Approved/Not approved.)
