Upon completion of the course, the student should be able to:

give an account of the responsibilities and guidelines that apply to personal trainers based on current norms in the fitness industry
give an account of basic theories and practices related to personal selling
give an account of the theoretical aspects of coaching and describe what characterises a good coach
give an account of the theoretical aspects of good communication and describe what characterises good communication

Skills

ask appropriate questions to find out about a person¿s background, fitness status and objectives in order to draw up a customised training/exercise and/or diet plan
plan and implement structured, goal-oriented, motivating and safe personal training for individuals and small groups
create a good relationship with clients and encourage internal motivation
distinguish between personal and private aspects of the client relationship, and have an understanding of the client¿s situation, ability and general preferences
use digital tools to plan training and follow up clients
