Examination Results

Your examination results are available 3 weeks after you submitted your exam, in StudentWeb.

Order Transcripts

Students can order a digital Transcript of Records with a digital signature in StudentWeb under "Orders" in the top menu. The Transcript of Records will be available under "Documents" after approximately 10 minutes.

The Transcript of Records is verified with a digital signature that is only confirmed if the PDF has not been altered by others. It is not valid if you print the Transcript of Records on paper. The digital signature is only valid for two years from the date of ordering. Students who wish to receive a paper copy of the Transcript of Records, either in English or Norwegian, must contact reception to obtain a printed copy.

Explanation of Grades

We recommend that you, as a student, request an explanation of the grade before deciding whether to file an appeal. If you choose to request an explanation in addition to submitting an appeal, the process will be extended.

You can request an explanation of the grade through StudentWeb. Information about grade explanations can be found on the Results page in StudentWeb. Here, you will find a button to request a grade explanation. The button will only appear if the deadline for requesting an explanation has not passed. The examiner chooses whether the explanation should be given orally or in writing, and it should account for the given result. For oral and practical exams, the request for an explanation must be made immediately after the grade is announced.

The request for a grade explanation must be made within one week after the grade is published. The examiner has a two-week deadline to explain (a total of 3 weeks).

The request for an appeal of the grade must be made within three weeks after the grade is published. The examiner has an additional three weeks to respond with a new assessment (a total of 6 weeks).

If you request both an explanation and an appeal, the process will be extended, as you, as a student, will have an extended appeal deadline (three weeks) and the process can take up to 9 weeks.

Appeal Against a Grade

An appeal about the determination of a grade must be registered in Studentweb within three weeks after the result has been announced, or within three weeks after receiving an explanation of the grade.

You can find information about the appeal process on the Results page on StudentWeb. Here, you will find a button to appeal the grade determination. The button will only appear if the deadline for filing an appeal has not passed.

There is an individual right to appeal in the case of group exams. Any change in grade after an appeal will only apply to the student who filed the appeal.

Please note that the grade after an appeal is final and cannot be further appealed. It is also not possible to withdraw an appeal once the grade has been announced.

For appeals, the examination office will send the submission to two new assessors who will evaluate it independently of the previous grade and explanation. A new pair of assessors will reevaluate the student's submission. Consider that the new grade can be lower (to the student's disadvantage), the same as, or higher (to the student's advantage) than the original grade.

The response to an appeal will be published in StudentWeb, and the student will be notified via email when the result is available.
