"In the Shadow of War" is an immersive VR documentary experience in collaboration with the University of Bergen, focusing on the 1940 bombing of Bodø through the firsthand account of Erik Kvaal. The "Medieval Akersborg" project is a virtual reconstruction of the 14th-century Akersborg Castle, offering an interactive and immersive experience with animated characters and historically accurate details. Akershus Fortress & Castle
The "Akershus Fortress & Castle" project is a large-scale, interactive exhibition created for the international exhibition “Vår fru dronning Margrete” (March 2022 – September 2023) at the Visitor Centre, Akershus Fortress & Castle. The centerpiece is a meticulously 3D-printed model of the medieval castle, based on historical documentation and archaeological research, combined with projection mapping and colored lighting to illustrate the castle’s construction phases. The project involved close collaboration between a creative technologist, historian, and storyteller to ensure historical accuracy and an engaging narrative presentation, successfully blending digital technology with traditional craftsmanship. Queens Game
The "Queens Game" is a groundbreaking artistic research project funded by the Norwegian Artistic Research Programme (PKU, Project Grant 29). It explores interactive digital storytelling through a historically inspired 3D game set in a virtual 14th-century Akersborg Castle. Using Unreal Engine, it combines dramatic narrative, medieval history, and advanced game design to engage players with the life of Queen Margrete and medieval storytelling traditions. The project goes beyond a typical game by providing a spatial, non-linear narrative experience inspired by medieval oral storytelling, aiming to inspire and educate through immersive gameplay. It was developed with strong historical research and includes dual visual styles representing the realistic castle environment and a dreamlike adventure realm, highlighting a blend of history and creative imagination.
