Background

Helene Lie Røhr is an Associate Professor at the School of Economics, Innovation, and Technology at Kristiania University College and holds a PhD in Economics from BI Norwegian Business School. She has 14 years of experience from the telecom industry analyzing the industry’s competitive dynamics and strategic challenges, together with pricing tactics and consumer behavior.

Røhr’s research interests are within applied micro-economics with a particular focus on the educational system, consumer behavior, and the economics of digitization. She is a part of the Economics Research Group at Kristiania. Røhr has published in the European Economic Review, Management Science, and Child Development. Additionally, she has co-authored a chapter in The Oxford Handbook of Mobile Communication, Culture, and Information (Oxford University Press, 2020).

Røhr teaches within the economics of digitization and supervise master and bachelor thesis in economics and marketing. She has given various research-based presentations in the industry and invited presentations at the Erasmus School of Economics, the Norwegian University of Life Science, and the Frisch Centre. Additionally, she has presented her research at numerous conferences including the European Meeting of the Economic Science Association, the Nordic Conference of Behavioral and Experimental Economics, and the Annual Meeting of the Norwegian Association of Economics.
