Background
Sofie Sagfossen is an Associate Professor of Marketing at Kristiania University College and holds a Ph.D. from the Stockholm School of Economics (2020). Her primary research interests lie within consumer behavior, with a particular focus on psychological processes and mechanisms. Her earlier research focused on how consumers' bodily states affect their information processing, cognition, and judgments.
Some of her recent projects involve consumers and how they interact with various technologies and digital solutions, in projects that include topics such as in-game advertising and blockchain-based solutions. Sofie's research has been published in the Journal of Advertising Research and the Journal of Business Research.
Sofie's experience outside academia includes roles within the business sector:
Consultant in sponsorship and rights, customer analyst at ICA Sweden, consultant for Systembolaget, ICA, among others. She is also a co-founder of a startup in the experience industry.
