Background

Kai Hanno Schwind is Associate Professor with a PhD in media studies. He teaches and researches at the School of Arts, Design, and Media and is currently placed at the bachelor program of project management art and creative industries. His main research interests are in the field of media and television studies, the mediatisation of humour and comedy, satire and transgressive humour and transnational screen and audio cultures.

Schwind supervises Kristiania's research group for artistic research (link to: https://www.kristiania.no/en/school-of-arts-design-and-media/artistic-research-group/) and is the founder and curator of AR@K, the school's annual symposium for artistic research in Oslo.

His recent publications include the co-authored book "Friends - A Reading of the Sitcom" (Palgrave/Macmillan) and the book chapter "My God, that's funny": Religionshumor i amerikanske og britiske komedier ( in: Ingen spøk. En studie av religion og humor. Cappelen Damm Akademisk).
