Background

Claus Sohn Andersen is an Assistant Professor and PhD Research Fellow at Kristiania University College, where he teaches Music Production.

He holds an MA in Music Technology from NTNU (Norwegian University of Science and Technology). His doctoral research investigates how the interplay and interaction between musicians during studio recording is affected by the listening conditions. Generally speaking, his research interests lie in the interactions between people and technology, and how these impact on artistic practices.

His own creative output has been focused on various forms and degrees of improvised music, with the occasional splash of more accessible forms of expression. He has participated on 4 releases with the band "SVK" as both composer, performer and engineer/producer. In 2018, he released the selfproduced album "The Transition" under the moniker Sohnified.
