Background
Linda Eirin Fosse Lien is an Associate Professor of Interior Architecture and holds a Master’s degree from Kunsthøgskolen i Bergen (KMD). She also holds undergraduate studies in Art History and a Bachelor’s degree in Project Management.
Lien has played a key role in the development of academic programmes at both bachelor’s and master’s level, and currently serves as Programme Director for the Master in Design at Kristiania.
Through her professional practice, she has gained extensive experience as an interior architect, both as an employee and as an independent practitioner. She has led a number of large-scale projects within rehabilitation, adaptive reuse, and exhibition design. Among her most recent commissions is the transformation of a former municipal building in Måløy into a war museum. The project included an extensive rehabilitation of the building, the development of four permanent exhibitions on the Second World War, as well as the establishment of a visitor centre. The project was later awarded a building and architectural quality prize.
In addition, Lien has received several awards and participated in both national and international exhibitions with her work in furniture design.
