Background

I am a Lecturer at the Department of Creativity and Design at Kristiania University College, where I teach marketing communication in the Bachelor’s programme in Art Direction. I also serve as Programme Director for the programme.
I am educated as an Art Director and graphic designer, and I also have formal education in film and television. I have more than 20 years of experience from the advertising and communications industry, where I have worked with the development of concepts and campaigns for a wide range of well-known brands. I also have experience as an entrepreneur and advisor.
I have been teaching since 2010 and have contributed to the development of the programme from a vocational school to a bachelor-level degree. In my teaching, I focus particularly on idea and concept development, the use of visual communication tools, and how communication creates attention, relevance, and impact. I place strong emphasis on industry relevance, and work to connect theory and practice through case-based learning and collaboration with the industry.
I work purposefully to ensure that students develop skills that make them relevant and attractive in the job market. Since 2010, I have helped educate over 400 creatives for the advertising and communications industry. Many of them have won awards for their work, started their own agencies, and today contribute as guest lecturers.
