The program starts at 13:00.

  •  Where: Youngstorget
  • When: 13:00–14:00 (doors open at 12:00)
  • Ticket required: No

We are delighted to gather all our new students for a joint welcome ceremony in the heart of Oslo city center.

This is the first joint event in the festival area at Youngstorget during the Into Campus buddy week.

Program

The welcome ceremony will feature speeches, greetings, and cultural performances. More details will be published over the summer.

Queue and entry for the ceremony

Doors open at 12:00. There will be clearly marked queue lanes when you arrive at Youngstorget. This event does not require registration or a ticket.

Bags and backpacks will be checked by security guards at the entrance before you are allowed in. There will be access to water inside the festival area.

What you cannot bring into the ceremony

  • Bottles.
  • Umbrellas or other hard objects.
  • Alcohol (even if you do not plan to drink it inside the area).

Water will be served at the bars throughout the ceremony.

What happens when the ceremony is over?

Additional distribution of week passes and Kristiania wristbands at Youngstorget

If you did not manage to collect your week pass or Kristiania wristband on Monday, you can do so inside the area after the ceremony (from 14:00). Special booths will be set up for this purpose, in addition to distribution from the bar tents.

Event for master’s students at Kirkegata

If you are a master’s student, we encourage you to head straight to the welcome event for master’s students at Kirkegata 23. You can find more details and information in the calendar event.

Youngstorget remains open after the ceremony

Until the concert in the evening, Youngstorget will remain open and can be used as a gathering point for the rest of the day. Since the concert requires a ticket, everyone will need to leave the area at some point and queue to have their ticket checked (as tickets will not be checked upon entry to the welcome ceremony).
