What opportunities for personal and career development have you had as an employee?

– As an employee, I have had the opportunity to attend seminars and courses. The most exciting thing for me might have been the opportunity to conduct my own courses. I have delivered SEO courses to the Professional College students in Digital Content Production for two years running now.

It’s a great feeling to have this much trust, while also having a great deal of responsibility.  I often get the chance to participate in interesting projects that develop me both personally and professionally.

I have had the freedom to make the Web Editor role my own.

So far, I have yet to take advantage of the offer of free courses and education here at Kristiania, but I am currently eyeing up a few individual courses online. Internal communication and branding, brand management and creative writing are currently on my list.

Which personal qualities do you consider to be the most important for someone wanting to become part of the Kristiania family?

– I would say that curiosity and creativity are important qualities. We need to challenge and inspire each other and society around us. Living in the past is not enough, we need to look ahead. There is constant change happening, so you simply have to roll with the punches. It’s extremely fun and there is lots to learn.

How would you describe the corporate culture?

– The Marketing and Communications Department is made up of an awesome team! There is a great sense of humor, lots of freedom and an excellent work ethic. I feel that I am acknowledged by both colleagues and management. I consider the hierarchy structure to be flat and it’s perfectly normal to sit down for lunch with your boss. There is room for kudos and constructive feedback, which is important to me and for the development of the department.

What made you accept the job offer from Kristiania University College?

– I applied for the job because the job advertisement read as though it had been written for me personally. Everything that I have gained in terms of experience, from the local newspaper to search engine optimization, would be essential for doing a good job. I was geared up for a proper challenge and the opportunity to work with something I consider to be very important. And what is more important than education?
