All programmes at Kristiania Professional College have defined overall learning outcomes that every student is expected to achieve upon completion of the course. Learning outcomes describe what the student is expected to know, be able to do, and demonstrate as a result of the learning processes associated with the course. Knowledge
The candidate:

possesses knowledge of concepts, processes, and tools applied in the phases of a project from initiation through planning and execution to closure, including planning and follow-up tools, as well as principles for team development and team-based organization.
has insight into relevant regulations, standards, agreements, and quality requirements that influence projects in the public sector, including public procurement/contract management and requirements for clear delivery and quality descriptions.
has industry knowledge and familiarity with the professional field of investment and procurement projects in the defence sector, and understands PRINSIX as a common methodology for managing investment portfolios, programmes, and projects within the sector.
can update their professional knowledge by using current guidelines, templates, and resources within project management and tools such as PRINSIX.
understands the significance of project management in a societal and value-creation perspective, including efficient resource utilization, compliance with governance requirements, and the need for operational deliverables in the public sector.

Skills
The candidate:

can apply project management knowledge to plan, control, and follow up projects towards defined goals and deliverables, in accordance with PRINSIX’s structure for decision-making and execution.
can apply relevant professional tools and methods for project control, stakeholder and communication management, as well as methods for team development and conflict resolution, adapted to the nature and phase of the project.
can identify and use relevant information and professional material to illuminate and solve specific project-related issues.
can assess situations and identify professional challenges and needs for measures, including through stakeholder and risk analyses and by establishing appropriate thresholds and actions in project control.

General Competence
The candidate:

has an understanding of professional and industry-specific ethical principles in project work within the public sector.
has developed an ethical foundation in the exercise of the role and reflects on the consequences of decisions, including balancing various stakeholders, regulatory compliance, and safety/quality considerations.
can perform work according to the needs of selected target groups, adapt control and communication to project owners, users, and other stakeholders, and ensure that deliverables meet defined requirements.
can build relationships and develop effective project teams, as well as collaborate across disciplines and actors, including the supplier market, and contribute to effective contract and cooperation follow-up.
can develop and improve work methods, products, and services in project operations through systematic learning, evaluation, and adherence to common frameworks.
