  • Project period: 2026
  • Category: Applied Research

    Description

The project examines Ukrainian health workers’ experiences with training in narrative exposure therapy (NET) they received in Norway. NET is a trauma-focused intervention for survivors of war and violence. The goal is to understand the relevance, applicability, and ethical implications of providing training in trauma treatment to Ukrainian refugees. The project addresses language barriers and integration challenges in the health care system. In line with the Nansen Foundation’s mandate, the project seeks funding for translation services and secure data storage. From April 2026 to December 2026, the project will collect, analyze, and disseminate data to inform future policy and practice for “refugee-to-refugee” care models.
