The Kai Centre is a interdisciplinary initiative to address the multifaceted challenges and opportunities of AI. It will foster a dynamic research and innovation environment that integrates technical, social, health economic and creative perspectives.

External collaboration will include partnershipos with industry, public institutions, NGOs, and international academic networks. Kai Centre will focus on:

  • Trustworthy AI: Develop and assess AI models with a focus on fairness, explainability, robustness, privacy, and societal trust.
  • AI for Health and Wellbeing: Support clinical decision-making, patient engagement, and digital health innovation through responsible AI tools.
  • AI and the Creative Sector: Study AI’s cultural, economic, and ethical dimensions across artistic practice, heritage, and creative industries.
