Short-term mobility is an exchange stay that consists of both a digital and a physical part, lasting between 5 and 30 days. This can include short internships or study stays. Your study program leader applies for funding for short-term mobility on behalf of you and your class. 

When you go on short-term mobility, you need several things in order before Kristiania can pay out your grant, as well as tasks you must complete after returning home to keep the grant. 

Erasmus+ Grant 

You receive a grant from Erasmus+ (EU) for the number of days you are in class or doing an internship. The rates are 79 EUR per day for stays of 1-14 days. Then 50 EUR per day for stays of 15-30 days. The grant is intended to cover some of the costs of traveling to and staying abroad, but it does not cover the entire stay. 

Some students may qualify for an additional grant (top-up) of 100 EUR for short-term mobility lasting 5-14 days, and 150 EUR for stays lasting 15-30 days. The additional grant may be relevant for you if you have: 

Grant Agreement 

To receive an Erasmus+ grant, you must sign a grant agreement (Grant Agreement – GA). The agreement outlines your rights and obligations as a grant recipient, including the duration of the stay, the grant amount, and the guidelines that apply in the event of cancellation or interruption of the mobility period. The grant agreement is created through a digital contract module and is sent to you via SMS and email. You will then be able to review the agreement and sign it electronically.

Prior to this, you will be asked to complete a Nettskjema form where you register your bank account details and Feide username. This information is used to generate the agreement, ensuring that it is fully completed when sent to you and only requires your signature. The grant agreement is normally distributed by the International Team approximately four weeks before departure. The grant is usually paid out one to two weeks before departure.

You are responsible for covering the costs of travel and accommodation in advance. Kristiania does not require receipts, and no claims for reimbursement of expenses should be submitted.

Learning Agreement 

A Learning Agreement (LA) is an agreement between you, the program leader/course responsible, and the receiving institution abroad, which ensures that you achieve the agreed learning outcomes during the stay. Most institutions use the Online Learning Agreement (OLA). Instructions for OLA can be found here.

Your course responsible signs on behalf of Kristiania (Sending Institution). Kristiania's Erasmus+ code is N OSLO58. The receiving institution is where you will spend your stay. 

If you are going on an internship or to an institution that does not use OLA, you must fill out a PDF. It is important that you fill out both the first and third pages of the PDF. 

Confirmation of Stay 

In the same email where you receive the Grant Agreement and information about the Learning Agreement, you will also receive a document called Confirmation of Stay (CoS). This document confirms the dates of your stay and that you were present. At the end of the stay, you must have this document signed by the Receiving Institution and send it to Kristiania at utveksling@kristiania.no. If you have traveled with a larger group, a collective document with all names is sent from the International Team. 

Insurance 

You must have your travel insurance, even for short-term mobility. You never know when accidents can happen, luggage can be delayed, or something can be stolen. For internships, Kristiania has its own accident insurance and liability insurance, but you must take out your own travel insurance.
