Background
Gro Skåland is employed as an Associate Professor at Kristiania University College, holding a PhD in Education from the University of Oslo. With a diverse background in design, art, and crafts, she brings her own experience into her research. Gro is dedicated to technology-supported creativity and learning, exploring these topics in various settings, from primary and higher education to informal learning environments such as public libraries and makerspaces. She is particularly focused on understanding creativity as a social, cultural, and embodied phenomenon, and investigates how creativity can be learned and facilitated across all disciplines. Gro has developed an analytical approach to innovation in teaching that describes how creativity as a practice takes new forms in interdisciplinary collaboration.
