Læringsutbytte

Proficiency

The student shall after the course have knowledge about how a video camera works, setting of exposure, focus, white balance, aperture and audio. Meanwhile, the student should be familiar with image composition, different narrative models and know how to compose a story. The student should also have an understanding of how video journalist working with both news events and scheduled reports and know how editors work. Student should also know how the video reportage published on-line.

 

Skills:

The student will after the course have mastered both the camcorder and the smartphone and be comfortable making news reports with both these tools. In addition, students will have mastered the different narrative models and will use this knowledge in their own news reports. Students will make two video news reports from news events and be comfortable editing their own reports, ensuring those reports have good sound and quality pictures. After the recordings have been made, students should be comfortable publishing their finished video reports online.

 

General competence:

After the course the student will be comfortable reflecting on ethical issues related to their work as a video journalist. The student should have an understanding of elementary image analysis.
