Background

Seidali Kurtmollaiev is a Professor of Innovation at Kristiania University College. His field includes new product and service development, design, marketing of new solutions, organizational change, adoption of innovations, and the emergence of service ecosystems.

As a researcher, Kurtmollaiev examines organizational processes and customer behavior related to innovation and design, for example, training managers in innovation tools, organizational transformation through design, and customer reactions to innovation. He is one of the developers of “Norwegian Innovation Index”, which is a project at NHH – Norwegian School of Economics and the world’s first customer-based ranking of innovative companies. In his teaching activities, Kurtmollaiev covers a broad range of innovation subjects, including service innovation, product development, service marketing, corporate entrepreneurship, business development, and change management.

Kurtmollaiev’s work on innovation management, innovation adoption, and organizational change appeared in, among others, the Academy of Management Learning & Education Journal, the Journal of Service Research, and the Public Management Review. He has also experience with the dissemination of innovation research through popular science and mainstream media (for example, Magma, Aftenposten, Dagens Næringsliv, Finansavisen).
